Hello!
MY NAME IS LIANNE ...
I'm 36 years old and I live in mid Wales UK. I own 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 horses, I have always had pets, I can't remember ever being without one!
Animals are a huge part of my life and I have a massive passion and love for them and I think that combined with my other love (Art) helps me to create highly realistic pet portraits for you all.
As a child I used to love drawing! I must of drawn hundreds of horses! I couldn't wait for a day off school to sit at home and draw and when I wasn't drawing horses I spent most of my time with my horses!
I took GCSE art and graphics at school and got an A in art and B in graphics, I was accepted into art college but at the last minute changed my mind, I thought there wasn't a career I could do with drawing, how wrong was I! so I left school, worked at my stables for a while but then I decided give up horses for a few years and got myself a regular job in a factory, I also pretty much stopped drawing.
In November 2016 I seen a post in a horse group for an artist wanted to draw a horse, I had never seen this sort of thing before and I was so shocked by the response and all the artists! so I said I used to draw I'll have a go for free, so I did and she loved it and even sent me £10!
At the time I had been working as a carer for the elderly for the last 6 years and I was contemplating looking for a new job.
So I decided to start my own business page and see if anyone else wanted a pet portrait and I slowly started to get a few orders, I was only doing graphite drawings as that's all I knew at the time, then I came across an amazing artist Bethany vere and I was truly blown away by her talent and colour pencil drawings, I knew then that I wanted to do this so I got a small set of colour pencils for my birthday in December and started learning to draw with them around January 2017, it was certainly a challenge! I very nearly gave up a few times! But with hard work, determination, patience and lots and lots and lots of practice I got better and better!
Then in summer 2017 after doing caring part time and pet portraits part time I was getting more and more orders so I decided to take the plunge and give up my caring job to go full time as a pet portraiture artist! And I haven't looked back! I do hope that I will be able to continue doing this for years to come, if these last few year's are anything to go by then I certainly think I will.
I am still learning and I don't think any artist ever stops learning but I think I'm improving all the time and will hopefully get better and better! I have high expectations of myself and although I am very proud of what I have achieved so far I feel like I know i can still do so much better!
So thank you everyone so so much, I can't tell you how very grateful I am for all your support and custom without which It would not be possible for me to finally do my dream job and create these special keepsakes of your precious furbabies that can be cherished forever!
